Giving to the China AIDS Initiative
A lost generation: grandparents raising grandchildren
in rural China.

The China AIDS Initiative is helping China reduce Mother-To-Child Transmission of HIV from 33% to <2% in regions stricken by the epidemic.
The China AIDS Initiative
The China AIDS Initiative (CAI) is an alliance of Chinese and international organizations dedicated to helping China accelerate its response to HIV/AIDS. CAI’s programs are coordinated by the Aaron Diamond AIDS Research Center (ADARC).CAI is funded by a generous group of individuals and institutions in the U.S. and Asia, and through in-kind contributions from its partners. Funding has been particularly forthcoming from Hong Kong, where an enthusiastic committee has secured substantial support for CAI from local benefactors.
Private philanthropy enables CAI to act rapidly and decisively to address the AIDS crisis in China. With your support we can:- Prevent newborns from HIV infection
- Deliver life-saving therapies
- Educate the public about this modern-day plague
- Mobilize China’s leaders to address the epidemic
